The fee recommended will be between $4.50 - $6.00 per hour depending on the length of the time.  You are able to adjust this.  It is not intended that this care is an employment or formal care arrangement, with the fee being an acknowledgement of help and any expenses, free of any guilt.

Each user has a Village account.  If you are requesting care, you have to have the requisite funds in your Village account to pay for it - you do this via a Credit or Debit card payment.

As soon as the care is completed and each party acknowledges this, the appropriate fee (including a small administration fee) is transferred between user accounts.

Of course.  If you are mostly or only a caregiver, you will likely build up funds in your Village account, so you can "cash in" these funds at any time through a direct transfer to a bank account.

All funds held in Village accounts are held in a Trust account to ensure security for the users.

The arrangements are made directly between two parties.  It is each parents responsibility to ensure they are comfortable with the chosen caregiver, through meeting the person before committing to a care arrangement.  Caregivers must provide evidence of their identity by way of a photo of their drivers licence and any certifications that can be viewed by those requiring care.
